Dr. David Christopher Jaklin

Continued to do research there as Research Assistant until 2013. Traussnig, Florian

Dr. Florian Traussnig

Trained as a clerk. Studied History and Italian at the Universities of Graz and Bologna and wrote his doctoral thesis on Austrian exiles in US propaganda institutions of World War II. Former project collaborator of ACIPSS and author of two books on the “Resistance from the Outside” against Hitler Germany by Austrian exiles between 1938 and 1945. Works full-time as consultant for education and culture of the Catholic Community of the institutions of higher education in Graz and as chief editor of the quarterly DENKEN+GLAUBEN.

Research Focus: US Propaganda and Austrian-Exile Research related to World War II with a special emphasis on  Military History, Politics of Memory and Cultural Studies.
